Welcome Angry Apple Kara & Taylah!
In July 2021, Angry Apple Media were delighted to welcome Kara & Taylah to the team. Our first students of the Angry Apple Academy. In partnership with Swift Digital Marketing, during the next 18 month’s will be completing a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Qualification. The qualification arms the girls with the latest theoretical digital marketing knowledge combined with relevant practical experience. Laying the foundations for a successful marketing career.
EARLY SUCCESS FOR OUR ACADEMY STUDENTS
Kara & Taylah have settled fantastically into the team, showing great enthusiasm and desire to learn. Their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by the team at Swift either, with the pair feature in the September Newsletter. Managing Director Paul Wilcock said We are proud of the start the girls have made. They are already massively contributing to the Angry Apple Team. Their work is already having a positive effect on clients accounts. Long may it continue.

Tasked them with the scenario of imaging they run their own business and are responsible for the marketing. We gave each of the girls a staging website. Allowing both to have a platform to test and action their course learnings.
Kara says: I began by learning the basics of web design using DIVI builder before creating brand guidelines for my wedding planner company. Using Adobe suite; to design logos, choose colours, fonts, and themes, even create mock-ups of merchandise.
After completing my brand guidelines, I was able to apply this across my website. Developing this knowledge has allowed me to take on board some client responsibilities in designing banners, posters and signs for events and emails.
Taylah had the following to add, “Whilst working on my website, I started to optimise it for mobile and page speed, which in turn will with SEO. To further my SEO knowledge, I have undertaken the YOAST courses and conducted keyword and phrases research for my brand before embedding these into the webpages using the YOAST WordPress Plugin.
Both have mentioned developing their marketing knowledge further by completing the Sharpspring Marketing Automation course, helping Angry Apple Media achieve gold certification in the software.
Managing Director Paul Wilcock said:
“So far, Kara & Taylah have developed their brands from scratch and continuing to develop them, whilst at the same time continuing to learn vital skills and knowledge to ready them for successful careers in Digital Marketing. For them, both to have created websites, brand guidelines and ongoing SEO strategies in 8 weeks is extremely impressive.
I’m pleased with the progress they have made in such a short space of time.”
